Paper Mache Dreams Balloon: A Classic Rock Song

Paper Mache Dreams Balloon: A Classic Rock SongWhile rock bands usually enjoy that rare couple of hits for every album, a few notable Gwar songs have enjoyed the opportunity to serve as covers. This has been the case with Paper Mache Dream Balloon and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard's Paper Mache Dreams Balloon, which both featured their respective band members singing and playing their parts. However, Paper Mache Dreams Balloon didn't earn much popularity by virtue of being simply a pop version of the classic song, but it was another side of the band that resonated well with fans. The lyrics in this song are about a love triangle that involves two individuals. The girl is a 'good girl' who only likes rock music. The other person is a loner who loves to talk about things other than what he listens to on the radio.Paper Mache Dreams Balloon was written by Gwar guitarist Joey Jordison. He thought of writing the song when he was listening to Michael Jackson's Thriller cover. As the cove r features a girl who actually listens to Jimmy Buffett, Jordison assumed that it would be nice to do a song with someone who also listened to the artist. He reached out to his fellow band member, singer Brendon Small, about the idea.Once Small was on board, they set off to do some fun testing. They gave out CDs of the song and asked each person to listen to it. Most of the listeners hadn't heard the song before, but they all seemed to remember it as one of their favorites. This was all thanks to the fact that it was a charming song and people found themselves drawn to it through its more 'unreal' sound.Paper Mache Dreams Balloon made it onto the Rock Band Game. It's included in the 'Fifty Shades of the Night' soundtrack. This turned into a somewhat anticipated event for fans who have been waiting for the chance to play the song live. They did make it to the final show at the Voodoo Lounge in Orlando, Florida on July 14th, 2020.In the past few years, Paper Mache Dreams Balloon has s een a number of re-recordings and cover versions. This can be attributed to the fact that fans like the original version but enjoy the change that it makes. Overall, fans seem to think that the song is better with Small's version over Jordison's.Since the track is technically a pop version, it's probably best to go with the original. You don't want to make an obvious mistake, and this is a good thing that Small has done. This is another great example of how he took an original idea and put his own spin on it.Paper Mache Dreams Balloon is not quite as popular as Thriller or Superunknown, but it is a nice little, sweet song to hear. Fans really like the song and it has managed to stay in the hearts of fans who had it on a CD. It's a great song and a refreshing break from the rest of the various metal music.
